Adequate breakfasts with very delicious their own cooked Bavarian sausage. Perfect and beautiful rooms with balcony, and good restaurant. Stunning location - close to a cable car station.

This place was amazing in general with a lovely staff team. Also, location was stunning and brilliant, right by a mountain-fringed lake. The area was pretty nice next to Berchtesgaden and the center of town where there are several good restaurants and cafes and ferries going to Wolfgang. Generally everything was great, however the bathroom was old. I really enjoyed the adequate breakfast served with home-made food.

Views appeared to be not so good.

The room was a nice size and fully-equipped and with coffee and a nice balcony at your disposal, lovely view of the lake. I thoroughly enjoyed its a comfortable decor😀😀

The location of the hotel is perfect, situated in a beautiful village with stunning views of the lake. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-decorated, with comfortable beds and a nice, bright decor. The staff is friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet offers a good selection of food, including delicious sausages and bacon. the hotel provides a full kitchen pantry, which is convenient for families with small kids.

The towels in the bathroom could use an upgrade.

Lovely hotel, rustic atmosphere

Our room at Hotel-Garni Schernthaner was beautifully decorated with a rustic charm. The spacious balcony offered breathtaking views of St. Gilgen and Mount Schafberg. The staff kindly carried our luggage to the room and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed the convenience of being just a short walk away from the bus stop and the cable car to Zwölferhorn. I highly recommend this charming hotel for a lovely stay in St. Gilgen.

I loved the charming little and beautifully appointed hotel.

I was offered a room with lovely views of the lake. It also had a clean bathroom and lovely beds - all for a REALLY GOOD stay. Most of the staffs were excellent and thoughtful.

The location was particularly good, near Zwolferhorn Seilbahn. Besides, it was really close to the Christmas markets, restaurants and the cable car to the Zwölferhorn and Salzburg and Hallstatt and bus station and cable car.

I recently stayed at Hotel-Garni Schernthaner for a weekend getaway. The location in the town centre was perfect for exploring, and the complimentary umbrellas came in handy during the rain. The traditional Bavarian style lodge added a unique touch to the experience. The owner was incredibly friendly and even gave us a jar of jam when we left. The free bike rentals and convenient car parking made this the best option in town. The hotel also seemed freshly renovated, with a nice breakfast and a charming restaurant where I could sip tea in my room.

The cozy hotel we stayed in was centrally located, allowing us easy access to transportation and nearby attractions. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, and the friendly staff made our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise with a good variety of options. we found the hotel charming and comfortable with a nice view of the surroundings.

Some traffic noise from a nearby road, but it wasn't a significant issue.
